Seriously, if you were to tell 15 year old me that she'd be living her dream creating content for a living, she wouldn't believe you – and if you told my parents, they'd (hopefully) loosen the internet bans after I ate up my screen time scrolling Musical.ly rather than doing my science homework.

DD Doodles
Recently, I undertook a freelance project with Brisbane-based potter, DD Doodles. In the initial launch of her e-commerce store, DD Doodles commissioned me to create a website from scratch using Wix.

To reflect the playful, personal nature of DD Doodles’ handmade pottery, I built a site that felt just as expressive as the products themselves. The client hand-drew the site’s decorative header font to mirror the look of her pottery – adding a tactile, personal touch that helped bridge the gap between physical art and a digital space. Alongside this, I paired accessible body fonts and bold headings for simple navigation and appealing to scroll through – especially for visitors with dyslexia or processing disorders.

Since most of her customers discover DD Doodles through Instagram, the site was heavily optimised for mobile and designed to feel like a natural extension of her socials. I included the artist’s sticker designs and playful graphic elements throughout the site, not just for visual interest, but to reflect her plans to expand into selling digital art and sticker packs. To keep the branding consistent across platforms, I also created Instagram graphics inspired by the website design, giving her cohesive visuals to use across platforms.
